Leslie Kimbell
Board Member
Leslie Kimbell gained the majority of her life experience and salty sense of humor from twenty two years traveling the world as a burlesque headliner...and as Truvy Jones says "There's a story there".
Born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Leslie now resides in Northeast Georgia, where she works with and serves on the board of several area theaters. Leslie is the 2021 recipient of the Georgia Theatre Conference Hall of Fame Award for her dedication to theatre and play writing. She is also a proud member of The Dramatist Guild.
Her plays Four Old Broads, Four Old Broads On The High Seas and The Miss Magnolia Senior Citizen Beauty Pageant, are published with Samuel French Inc. and are current being produced across the country.
Leslie is always somewhere busy as actor or director and occasionally set painter, concessions seller and floor sweeper.
As an actor, Leslie has appeared on television in Swamp Murders, Snapped, Murder Decoded and Tyler Perry's House of Payne. She also had supporting roles in the films Blue Lightning, Buried Cain and Some Kind of Christmas.
