ONE GREAT WEEKEND CELEBRATING LGBTQ+ WRITERS!

We are THRILLED to announce our next program expanding on our Writers Search - a WRITERS FESTIVAL! It's halfway between a writers convention and a film festival, with the best parts of both, all focused specifically on the writers from our writers search, the winning scripts and the craft and process of writing for theatre and film.

We are presenting stage readings of ALL THREE winning scripts from the Writers Search featuring local actors. We will have panels featuring industry experts in theatre and film, a screening of the short film that inspired the creation of the Foundation, an opening night conversation with Del Shores featuring Sordid Lives stars Rosemary Alexander, Newell Alexander & Ann Walker and a special one on one with Del Shores interviewing Jaston Williams, the co-creator and co-actor of the Greater Tuna quartet of plays.

We are bringing in all of the available finalists from the Writers Search to be a part of the weekend, to celebrate these incredible new LGBTQ+ voices. Writing is the focus of the weekend, but whether you are a writer or just a lover of great writing - JOIN US!

ALL READINGS AND PANELS ARE FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC!!

Registration IS required for each reading and panel separately. If you want to attend them all, register for them all!  There are suggested donations for each registration, if you can contribute to support the festival and our work, please do! But we don't want cost to be a barrier to anyone attending the festival!

ALL EVENTS will take place at the TRINITY RIVER ARTS CENTER.
