SordidLiveStream Benefit
Over 33,000 people watched our Sordid Livestream in 2020! We had over 660 individual donations that raised over $50,000 and the auctions raised over $25,000! 100% of the proceeds were split evenly among the 23 non-profit theatre partners of the Foundation. We sent out checks totaling over $3,000 to each of these incredible theatre companies as our contribution these companies survived the pandemic to continue their vital work in their communities.

In April near the beginning of the pandemic, Del had a conversation with the artistic director of one of the foundation's theatre partners. They explained that the challenges of the pandemic have put their company's viability in jeopardy. Since Del started his career in, and always returns to, the theatre, he was inspired to figure out a way to use our skills to do something to help theatre companies and also provide entertainement. This livestream benefit reading was the result of that. All of the stars we asked from across the Sordid franchise said an immediate yes!
Sissies Livestream Benefit
Over 4,500 people watched our Southern Baptist Sissies 20th Anniversary Celebration Benefit and livestream in 2021, and we raised over $14,000!
We sent almost $300 to each of our 25 nonprofit theatre partners as they return to creating live theatre in their communities.
$7000 goes to beginning to fund the cash awards and grants for the inaugural Del Shores Foundation Writers Search.

A huge thank you first to all of those who contributed, to all of the actors from the play and the film who appeared, to all of the artistic and executive directors who speak to their experience with Sissies and to Debby Holiday and Levi Kreis for their incredible performances.
It was a magical evening about this piece of Del's that has meant so much to so many and continues to have impact today.

A Sordid Celebration of Lives Benefit
The year leading up to our livestream fundraiser benefit for 2023 included a great deal of loss in Del's friends and family, and of course several well-known and beloved to the Sordid Lives family. Carole Cook, Olivia Newton-John and of course Leslie Jordan.
Leslie agreed to be the Honorary Board Co-Chair for the Del Shores Foundation before we even officially started. We wanted to find a way to honor their memories and also celebrate the joy they brought to friends, family and fans.
"A Sordid Celebration of Lives" was exactly that. We gathered the Sordid Lives stars to tell their favorite stories and share memories of Leslie, Olivia, Carole and added Rue McClanahan and Sarah Hunley who passed previously.
It was an incredibly special, funny and touching night.
We raised over $10,000 to support our programming and to share with our non-profit theatre partners.
An enormous thank you to all of the donors who contributed and to the incredible friends and stars who shared stories that have never been told before about these artists we love so dearly.
